The Tree of Life Pendant

For my first commissioned piece I was given free rein to be creative. The only outline brief was The Tree of life.
My first thought was that the piece should represent the cycle of all life. To illustrate this I made a tiny acorn from amber that sits high in the branches of the tree. Nestled in the roots of the tree is another piece of amber. Thus signifying that the tree itself grew from a humble acorn. We also see birds flying through the branches of the tree to help us appreciate that, not only does the tree represent the cycle of life, but it also nurtures and protects other forms of life and that all nature exists symbiotically.
